The concert, by a jazz quartet formed of students from the Fundació Conservatori del Liceu, will be taking place on Saturday 28 June at 7.30 pm, at the Moll de Mestral wharf in the Port Olímpic

This Saturday, 28 June, at 7.30 pm, the Port Olímpic will be hosting a new concert as part of KBr Live, the cultural programme linked to the agreement between BSM, the Fundación MAPFRE and the Barcelona Institute of Culture (ICUB) to bring photography and performing arts to the new Port Olímpic.

The concert, which is free of charge, will be performed by a jazz quartet from the Conservatori Liceu, and is inspired by the exhibition of works by photographer Edward Weston, which is showing at the KBr Fundació MAPFRE photography centre until 31 August.

The musicians in the quartet are Naia González (vocals), Julián Mujica (keyboard), Angel González (guitar) and Pau Reig (double bass). They will be performing a selection of the most significant jazz standards, evoking the era and experiences that inspired the black and white images by the North American photographer.

The KBr Live cultural programme will be running throughout the summer

During the summer months, KBr Live will be offering its usual programme of concerts and dance at the Moll de Mestral wharf in the Port Olímpic. A series of free shows inspired by the exhibitions showing at the KBr Centre and performed by students from the Conservatori Liceu and the Institut del Teatre.
