The number of visitors increased by 54% compared to 2021, when restrictions for Covid still applied, almost marking a return to pre-pandemic levels

Notable successes were the Laser Show, attracting over 25,000 spectators, and the synthetic ice rink, attracting more than 10,000 people

The Cuca de Llum funicular railway has become the main means of getting to Tibidabo, consolidating the park’s move towards environmentally friendly and sustainable mobility

The Tibidabo Amusement Park closed 2022 with 54% more visitors than the 2021, almost reaching pre-pandemic levels. Over 620,000 people visited the park over the 145 days it was open to the public and were able to enjoy the full range of leisure options on offer. This compares with a figure of 402,000 for 2021, although the park was closed for two months more than usual (from January to mid-May) owing to Covid restrictions.

Success of the Laser Show, La Nit de les Ànimes and the ice rink

Over the course of 2022, when Tibidabo celebrated its 121st anniversary, the park offered a wide array of themed shows. Notable successes included the Laser Show, which drew more than 25,000 spectators in the summer; La Nit de les Ànimes, the star show over the Halloween season; the daily shows by the park mascots (Ti, Bi, Da and Bo), and the sustainable synthetic ice rink installed this Christmas in Plaça dels Somnis, which was enjoyed by more than 10,000 people.

The 16 solidarity initiatives and events promoted by different organisations and hosted at the park also stood out. They helped to promote the work done by these organisations and also to raise funds.

With regard to education, the park continued its outreach approach with educational activities and initiatives such as Fisidabo, which allows students to learn about science, technology and the environment outside the classroom.

Cuca de Llum establishes itself as the main means of getting to Tibidabo

Last year was also a year of consolidation for the Cuca de Llum (glow worm) funicular railway, the main means of collective transport to get to Tibidabo and the viewing platform, with over 650,000 users.

The Amusement Park closes the 2022 season on 5 January, the last day it is open to the public, and will be open again on 4 March, after closing as usual for maintenance work. The viewing platform, home to the park’s most iconic rides and the automat museum, will be open at weekends in February and then every day from 4 March.
