The Amusement Park will have an ice rink in Plaça dels Somnis from 26 November to 5 January, open to everybody

With a capacity for forty people, the rink is made from a synthetic material offering users a highly similar experience to skating on ice, helping to guarantee sustainability

The park mascots are in action with a new show over the festive season too, with the puppets from the Tibimarionetarium also making a return

The Tibidabo Amusement Park is celebrating Christmas with an ice rink open to all. The rink is being set up in Plaça dels Somnis and will be operative whenever the park is open between 26 November and 5 January.

With an area of 200 square metres and a capacity for forty people, the rink is made from a synthetic material offering users a highly similar experience to skating on ice, helping to guarantee sustainability. The materials in question are polyethylene panels, a revolutionary new solution with no energy consumption because, unlike conventional rinks, there is no need for electricity to conserve the ice.

Access to the ice rink is included in the admission price for the park, but there is also a chance for people to use the rink without visiting the rest of the park, at a price of 5 euros.

The Tibidabo park mascots present the new show El Bo de Collserola

El Bo de Collserola is a new show by the Tibidabo park mascots and will also be showing for the first time on 26 November. On this occasion the central character is Bo, a wild boar firmly committed to looking after the environment and the surroundings in Collserola. Bo will be helping audiences to become aware of the importance of looking after the mountain. The show is on in Plaça del Jardí at 4.30 pm on the days the park is open.

The park is also offering another season of the Tibimarionetarium, this year from 3 December. This is a Christmas puppet show where music, snow and stars take centre stage. The show is showing every hour at the Marionetarium, up until 5 January.

Elsewhere, at the Hotel Krüeger, the heinous Krampus makes a return to the city’s darkest hotel over Christmas, the only time of year that he makes an appearance. The hotel will be open for an additional seven days this season. It will be closed from 19 to 26 December, and open from 27 December to 4 January whenever the park is open to the public.

All these activities are included in the admission price for the Tibidabo Amusement Park.
