The Weeknd’s concert at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys will kick off a busy four months at the Anella Olímpica
Local talent will take centre stage, with four farewell concerts by Oques Grasses at the Estadi Olímpic and four concerts by Aitana at the Palau Sant Jordi

The Anella Olímpica is heading into the final stretch of an exceptional 2026 with four jam-packed months combining major international tours with residencies by artists with a large following, appearances by local talent, and international sports events.
From now until December, the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, the Palau Sant Jordi and the Sant Jordi Club will be hosting an eclectic line-up featuring leading international acts, local artists and options for a wide range of audiences. This line-up will strengthen the role of the Anella Olímpica, managed by BSM, as a leading hub for live music and major events.
Major international tours in the coming months
The Weeknd will be performing at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on 1 September as part of his international tour. The concert will kick off a particularly busy September and will again establish the Anella Olímpica as a leading stage for major tours and international music productions.
The international programme will continue at the Sant Jordi Club with a Placebo concert on 3 October. The British alternative rock group will celebrate a career spanning three decades with a concert featuring the hits from their early albums.
On 20 October it’ll be time for The Strokes, back in Barcelona 23 years after their last concert in one of the city’s major venues. The New York band will be performing at the Palau Sant Jordi on their only scheduled date in Spain, presenting their new album Reality Awaits and revisiting some of the greatest hits from their career.
Simple Plan will also be back in Barcelona in October with their Bigger Than You Think! Europe Tour. The band will be performing at the Palau Sant Jordi on 26 October, with Neck Deep as the support act, as part of their 25th-anniversary celebrations.
In November, Bryan Adams will be back at the Palau Sant Jordi with the Roll with the Punches 2026 tour. The Canadian artist will be performing on 14 November with a live show combining songs from his latest album and some of the greatest hits from a career spanning more than forty years.
In addition to these acts, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso will be performing at the Palau Sant Jordi on 10 September, while the Music Bank Barcelona K-pop festival will be held in the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on 12 September. The programme will continue with Niall Horan on 25 October, and Jungle on 28 October, both at the Palau Sant Jordi. Finally, Pitbull will be performing at the same venue on 4 November.
Local talent taking centre stage in the final stretch of the year
The programme will also celebrate local talent. Aitana will be performing four concerts at the Palau Sant Jordi on 4, 5, 7 and 8 September, all of which are sold out. A month later, Oques Grasses will be saying farewell to the stage with four concerts at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on 5, 7, 9 and 10 October, which are also sold out.
After over fifteen years, this band from the Osona region of Catalonia will be bidding farewell to the stage with an unprecedented run of shows that will turn the Estadi Olímpic into a special meeting connecting them with their fans and make them one of the most prominent acts at the stadium in 2026.
The coming months will also see some of the top national tours of the year come to the Anella Olímpica, including the return of La Oreja de Van Gogh with Amaia Montero as part of the Tantas cosas que contar tour, marking the group’s 30th anniversary and 25 years since one of their most iconic works, El viaje de Copperpot. Dani Martín will also be performing as part of the tour marking his 25-year career, from his time as frontman of El Canto del Loco through to his solo career.
Other leading names from the local and national scene rounding off the programme include Vetusta Morla, performing at the Palau Sant Jordi on 2 October; Trueno, on 13 October; Morat, on 16 and 17 October, and Valeria Castro, on 30 October, all three at the same venue. The Sant Jordi Club will also be hosting La Fúmiga’s double farewell concert on 16 and 17 October. The line-up will continue in November with John Pollôn, performing at the Sant Jordi Club on 6 November, and Carolina Durante, rounding off this series of concerts at the Palau Sant Jordi on 28 November.
Music and sport until December
In addition to live music, the Anella Olímpica will continue to establish itself as a multi-purpose venue by hosting major sports events. Events scheduled for the coming months include the third edition of Premier Padel, to be held from 10 to 13 December, again turning the Palau Sant Jordi into a leading international paddle ball venue.
This four-month programme will see the Anella Olímpica close out the year combining artistic quality, a variety of formats, local talent and international exposure. This busy schedule further establishes the site as one of the city’s leading cultural, musical and sports venues, and strengthens its strategic role within the annual calendar of major events.

The "Aiko's forest" again lights up the Esplanada Olímpica
The Anella Olímpica is continuing to launch initiatives to preserve the legacy of an iconic city space while also enhancing the concertgoer experience. Recent projects include the restoration of Canvi, a sculpture created by the Japanese artist Aiko Miyawaki for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Also known as "Aiko’s forest", the piece will once again light up the Esplanada Olímpica more than thirty years after it was unveiled.
The work includes the upgrading of the electrical panels and the replacement of the existing lights with LED technology. The project restores the work’s lighting, giving the sculpture greater prominence in the night-time landscape and at the same time improving outdoor lighting at the Anella Olímpica.
Canvi is part of a series of international installations by Aiko Miyawaki that explore movement, transience and the way light and space combine. These works are known for their stainless steel wires that create a mosaic of shadows, reflections and perceptions that change depending on light and perspective.
